मोगा में वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता रहे चन्द्रभान खेड़ा ने अपने 27 साल के जिस केमीकल बेटे अमित खेड़ा के निधन के बाद उसकी याद में झुग्गी बस्ती को शिक्षा से रोशन किया था, उसी बेटे का सूरज नगर उत्तरी में स्थित स्कूल में पुण्य तिथि पर भावपूर्व आयोजन किया गया। इस मौके पर स्कूल परिसर में शहर की समाजसेवी संस्थाओं की मौजूदगी में हवन यज्ञ को आहुतियां देने के बाद बच्चों को मिठाई बांटी व उपहार भेंट किये।
बड़े ही गरिमामयी माहौल में स्कूल प्रबंधक व प्रिंसिपल वीना अरोड़ा की मौजूदगी में स्कूल में आने वाले बच्चों को मिठाई वितरित की गई, साथ ही उन्हें संकल्प दिलाया कि जिस उद्देश्य के साथ एडवोकेट स्व.चन्द्रभान खेड़ा ने कचरा बीनने वाले हाथों में किताबें थमाई थीं, उस उद्देश्य को हर हाल में पूरा करना है, झोंपड़ियों को सिर्फ शिक्षा से रोशन ही नहीं करना है, बल्कि उन झोंपड़ियों में पल रहे सपनों के महल भी खड़े करने हैं।
इस आयोजन के दौरान एडवोकेट चन्द्रभान खेड़ा की पत्नी व अमित खेड़ा की मां सरोज खेड़ा भी मौजूद रहीं। पति ने जिस उद्देश्य के साथ झुग्गी बस्ती में स्कूल स्थापित कर मिसाल कायम की थी, उनके निधन के बाद उनकी पत्नी भी पूरे हौंसले के साथ पति के सपनों को आगे बढ़ाने में जुटी हैं।
इस अनोखे आयोजन के मौके पर स्व.चन्द्रभान खेड़ा के बेटे असीम अरोड़ा, पूजा खेड़ा, बेटी अल्पना के साथ ही समाजसेवी व स्कूल संचालन में सक्रियता के साथ मदद कर रहीं आंचल ग्रोवर के साथ ही अग्रवाल सभा के सदस्य भी मौजूद थे।

Commemoration of Death Anniversary Held at the Very School Built in a Slum in Honor of a Son

In Moga, a heartfelt ceremony marking the death anniversary of Amit Khera—the 27-year-old son of the late senior advocate Chandrabhan Khera—was held at the very school situated in Suraj Nagar North that had been established in his memory to bring the light of education to a slum settlement. On this occasion, within the school premises and in the presence of various social service organizations from the city, offerings were made during a *Havan Yajna* (sacred fire ritual), followed by the distribution of sweets and gifts to the children.
In a truly dignified atmosphere, and under the supervision of School Manager and Principal Veena Arora, sweets were distributed to the students attending the school. Furthermore, the children were administered a pledge: to fulfill, at all costs, the noble objective with which the late Advocate Chandrabhan Khera had placed books into the hands of children who once scavenged for waste. They vowed not merely to illuminate these humble huts with education, but to help construct “palaces of dreams” within the very dwellings where these children are being raised.
During this event, Advocate Chandrabhan Khera’s wife—and Amit Khera’s mother—Saroj Khera was also present. Having witnessed her husband set a remarkable precedent by establishing a school in a slum with such a profound purpose, she has, following his passing, dedicated herself with unwavering resolve to carrying forward his cherished dreams.
Also present at this unique commemorative event were the late Chandrabhan Khera’s son Aseem Arora, his daughter Alpana, and Pooja Khera. They were joined by Anchal Grover—a social worker who actively assists in the management and operation of the school—as well as members of the Agarwal Sabha.
